Well after my gushing over Amber Rose, my fierce doll has made a fashion misstep. To put it mildly she looks a mess. She appears to be trying too hard, and the animal print ALL OVER is just a hot stripper mess. Miss Rose there is a very fine line between Rebel Chic and too much. She needs to break up the pattern with something more single toned. Her counterpart ,Kanye, well looks equally bad. I do believe the Henny got to him long before he got to the awards. This is a sure MISS!!!
I've said it once and I'll say it again Cassie is coming on up in the fashion game. Homegirl was looking fierce and quite rebellious last night. Watch out RI-RI!!!! I love the way the shoes pop against the outfit and that hairstyle just sets it all off.
Is it okay for me to say that I don't really like this? Ok because I really don't like this, the designs on the shoulder is too much. The fabric looks cheap and she surely could have saved those earrings!! I have seen Keri look wayyyyyyy better and I generally love her style. However, last night was kind of a bad night for Keri..sorry doll this just doesn't work.
Does Beyonce look like a mannequin to anyone? However, I do love the dress and the jewelry. I'm not a big fan of the extremely plain face she's been giving us lately but overall this is a good look. Everybody seemed to be trying out the deep cleavage last night.
Djimon looks very debonaire next to Ms. Kimora Lee. I love how he went classic instead of going for the all too familiar rock star that all the men are doing. The pink just highlights his dark complexion and I die for those shoes!!!
WTF?!?!?! You guys be the judge because I'm speechless!! No I could actually go on for days but I don't have time for that!! LOL!!

I DIE For Fashion this week!!!
* Okay Kerin-Rose is on it ladies and gents...See I love crazy sunglasses and this girl makes some funky glasses. These are available for pre-order on her website or about $ 350.00. Here Rihanna is rocking them to a degree that says " I don't give a PHUCK" what you say about me..I"m a Rockstar honey."

* I know this is not totally new but I admire her for sticking with this look and making it hot. It takes a certain personality and overall swag to be able to pull this look off. Say what you want but fashion-wise she is on her game.

*I simply DIE..over Gwen Stefani's new collection. The way she designed everything to look so stylish yet easy to wear gives me chills. Anyone who knows me, knows that this look is right down my alley. I'm going to have to pay a little bit more attention to this line from now on. Her shoes are FAB as well.. Go L.A.M.B!!!

Layering
Okay dolls today I want to give a little insight to layering. Layering comes in all shapes and forms. When I say this I mean you can layer clothing or jewelry. One thing you don't want to do is go overboard because it can come off as messy. Now I do believe in the fact that you can never layer too much jewelry.
When layering shirts for instance, my advice is to start with the more form fitting shirt first. You may want to try a cami or wife beater. Next you can go with a loose-fitting t-shirt or tank. My personal favorite is the racerback, eighties style tank. The pockets are loose and it falls off your shoulder often. Now you can go with a coat of any style or you can go "Rachel Zoe" and add a faux fur vest for drama. For a bit more flair you can go for a hippie chic headband or a nice cocktail ring. Jewelry is my favorite thing to layer. Sometimes I mix my costume jewelry with my real diamonds or I keep using old pieces until well NEVER!! These things give personality to your outfit and are just plain chic.

Store Reviews
So the other day I had a little time on my hands and decided to venture into some stores on campus. Normally, I only bother with Ellie's because I just love their sunglasses but I figured I'd give the others a try. My first stop was at a new store called " Therapy". The design of the store was very nice and it was cozy. However, there was only one sales girl and the prices were high. I do not have a problem paying top dollar for top dollar goods. However, when I looked at the labels; they did not match up with the prices. I simply hate when a boutique carries unknown brands and tries to charge an arm and a leg for them. The only thing I recognized was the Prvcy jeans. They also made a colossal mistake by putting their store a few doors down from a more established "Behind the Glass". My advice would be to either move the store or upgrade your product!!!
Behind the Glass has grown over the years. I admire how they carry everything from Seven for All Mankind to Steve Madden. Now this is a store I can shop in because I see my money going to reputable designers. Now don't get me wrong; I am okay with unknown designers but not with the prices of a known designer. They also had enough sales staff to accommodate all of their customers. The fabrics seemed good on their higher end merchandise and I dare say worth the purchase. The accessories were up to date and priced on a college student budget.
My final assessment is that I think the newer stores on the block should step it up!! You are competing with stores that have been around for years. At least offer merchandise that is not available at the store next door. I think for now, I'm going to stick with the oldies but goodies.....Behind the Glass..The Buzz.. and my personal favorite due to my love of accessories Ellie's.

7 for All Mankind
I did a little shopping at Lenox Mall this weekend, and got the chance to look in the 7 for All Mankind store. First off it's amazing to touch a GOOD jean because the fabric is not as hard and it's stretchy. This is what I might consider an investment jean since they start off at about $170. Do make sure that you are near you ideal size before you buy these. There are several people selling counterfeit Sevens but you can tell the difference once you handle a real pair. Just saying this to say....try them out and see if you like them!! You can also get them locally at Behind the Glass in Auburn, AL.

A NeW PlACE to ShOP
I'm always on the prowl for new merchandise and places to enhance my closet. Just the other day, I decided to click on a random link and found this http://www.80spurple.com. Its a great little e-boutique that offers stylish yet affordable clothing. One of favorite pieces was the chains of love tank, which retails for $46. I have not had the chance to shop there yet, but the appear to have pieces that reflect what most people are wearing. I absolutely love the designs, and the website is cute too. I'm about to order something and I'll be sure to let you guys know how it goes!!!
